My name is Ellen Delling Forslund, and I am a licensed psychologist. Since completing my psychology degree in 2015, I have worked with adults, children, and parents in various areas of healthcare.
My theoretical foundation is cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), but I work flexibly and do not believe that the same approach is suitable for everyone. You do not need to know exactly what your problem is “called” or what kind of help you need. Together, we try to understand what is causing difficulties in your life and tailor the treatment accordingly.
I work with adults experiencing worry, anxiety, low mood, as well as stress, exhaustion, relationship difficulties, and life crises. Many people also seek help because of a strong sense that something is not right, or because they feel stuck in negative patterns of thinking.
I have particular expertise in working with autism, ADHD, and other neurodevelopmental issues. This includes experience working with children and their parents, as well as with adults. My experience means that you can expect knowledge and understanding of issues relating to stress, demands and expectations, everyday functioning, relationships, and parenting. I also have an in-depth understanding of neurodevelopmental differences that goes beyond the diagnostic criteria.
I want our conversations to be characterised by safety, respect, and clarity. You should feel welcome and treated with respect regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, background, or life circumstances.
I live and work in Stockholm, but all appointments take place online via video.
